RF Skin Tightening Pre & Post Care
Opus RF Skin Tightening is a comfortable, non-invasive facial treatment with no downtime. It uses UniPolar radiofrequency with a rotating massage action to gently heat the deeper layers of the skin. Here is how to get the best from your treatment.
Quick care reminder
- Hydration is key.
Before your treatment
- Arrive well hydrated.
- Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment, and on the day.
- Let your Dermal Clinician know about any recent skin procedures or skin sensitivity.
On the day
- The treatment feels comfortable and warming as the applicator moves across your skin.
- Immediately afterwards your skin may look and feel plumper, smoother, firmer, more refreshed and more radiant.
After your treatment: the first 24–48 hours
- There is no recovery period. You can return to your normal activities straight away.
- Keep drinking plenty of water, and keep your skin well hydrated.
- Continue your usual skincare unless your Dermal Clinician advises otherwise.
- Maintain daily SPF protection.
- Follow any personalised skincare advice from your Dermal Clinician.
The following days and weeks
- Radiofrequency also works beneath the surface to support collagen renewal, so further improvement develops over time. For more significant tightening and rejuvenation, we generally recommend a personalised treatment series.
- Opus RF may be combined with Skin Needling, or with a professional peel when your Dermal Clinician recommends it. If so, follow the care guide for that treatment as well.
When to contact us
- Opus RF has no downtime. Please contact us if you notice redness, warmth or tenderness that lasts beyond the day of treatment, or anything that concerns you.
- If you have severe symptoms, such as difficulty breathing, rapidly spreading swelling or a high temperature, call 000 or go to your nearest emergency department.
