O Cosmedics Lymphatic Therapy in Canberra
When your skin looks puffy, dull or stressed, O Cosmedics Lymphatic Therapy can help it look refreshed. Our Canberra clinic offers it as a gentle, no-downtime treatment that supports circulation and a smoother, more refined skin appearance.
What is O Cosmedics Lymphatic Therapy?
Our O Cosmedics Lymphatic Therapy is a customised treatment powered by the O Biome Oxygenating Therapy system. Your clinician selects targeted activators for your skin, then applies the O Biome Oxygenating Microbiome Setting Mask, a tightening enzyme mask that creates a firm compression effect. It's designed to gently compress blood vessels and support microcirculation, lymphatic flow and hydration, helping reduce the look of puffiness for a smoother, more refined skin appearance.
What it can help with
Your treatment is customised to your skin and may be selected to support:
- Dull or tired-looking skin.
- Dehydration.
- Congestion and breakouts.
- Redness and uneven tone.
- Pigmentation concerns.
- Fine lines, signs of ageing and loss of firmness.
- Overall skin health and radiance.
Who it suits
It's ideal if you have:
- Sensitivity.
- Puffiness.
- Dull or stressed-looking skin.
- A compromised skin barrier that needs support.
It's a good choice when you want visible refreshment without downtime, or a gentle option for skin that isn't ready for more intensive treatments.
Before your treatment
For about 3 to 5 days beforehand, unless your clinician advises otherwise:
- Avoid retinol and prescription vitamin A, strong exfoliating acids, scrubs and home peels, and anything that has recently irritated your skin.
- Keep your skin hydrated and use SPF every day.
Tell us about any new medications, active skin infections, cold sores, recent cosmetic treatments or changes to your health.
What to expect
Your clinician selects your activators and applies the O Biome setting mask. There's no downtime, so you can return to your day. Your clinician may pair it with other treatments or LED light therapy as part of your plan. Looking for the O Cosmedics Lift & Firm, Collagen Booster, Clear Skin or Bright Skin protocols? Concerns it can help
- Dull, dry and dehydrated skin: supports circulation and helps reduce the look of puffiness.
- Sensitive and reactive skin: gentle support for barrier repair.
- Skin redness and vascularity: when recommended by your clinician as part of a calming plan.
- Ageing: supports a firmer, smoother appearance.
What it feels like
As the O Biome Oxygenating Microbiome Setting Mask sets, it becomes very firm and creates a strong compression sensation. You may feel tightness, pulsing or pressure, warmth, and more awareness of your circulation. It may feel unusual the first time, but it shouldn't be painful. You'll be asked to stay still and avoid talking while the mask sets. You're welcome to bring earphones to listen to a meditation, music or a podcast.
Aftercare
Most clients leave with skin that looks hydrated, bright and fresh. When the mask comes off, you may see a temporary flush or visible dilated vessels from the compression. This generally settles within about 15 minutes. Occasionally, skin can feel a little dry or sensitive over the following days, and congested skin may have a temporary increase in breakouts.
- Hydrate: keep your skin calm and hydrated with the products your clinician recommends. The O Biome Hydrating Spray may also be recommended.
- Keep cool: for about 24 hours, avoid strenuous exercise, hot yoga, saunas, steam rooms, spas, excessive heat and chlorinated pools.
- No actives: for about 5 days, avoid retinol and vitamin A, AHA and BHA acids, scrubs, enzymes, home peels and strong exfoliants. Restart only once your skin feels completely comfortable.
- Sun: avoid unnecessary direct sun for about 5 to 10 days. Use broad-spectrum SPF 50+ every morning and reapply outdoors.
- Avoid waxing over the treated area for about 14 days, and avoid other intensive treatments there (peels, IPL, laser, intensive facials, resurfacing) for about 14 days unless prescribed.
- Don't pick, scratch or peel your skin.
Contact us if you have increasing redness or swelling, significant or worsening discomfort, a strong or persistent rash, significant irritation, blistering, signs of infection, or anything different from what you were prepared for.
Our approach
Every treatment at Skin Wellness Academy is part of our four-phase Skin Transformation System for holistic and clinical skin care. It integrates the best of Western scientific research, Eastern medicine and integrative wellness philosophy. It also looks at your biology, behaviour, goals and habitat to find the root causes of your skin concerns.
You're not just another patient in a clinic. Our dermal clinicians guide you through each phase of your skin journey:
- Strategy: understand your skin, history, lifestyle and goals.
- Rebuild: restore skin barrier, strength and healthy function.
- Regenerate: stimulate healthy cellular renewal.
- Maintain: protect results and age gracefully.
The strongest treatment is not always the best treatment. The right treatment is the one your skin is ready to use well. That's why all new clients begin with a Skin Strategy Session. Until we've properly assessed you and your skin, we can't recommend the best products, routine or treatments for you.
